Dr. Gokulshankar’s Mosquito Verse

Dr. Gokulshankar’s Mosquito Verse

Mosquito Menace
To shoo away mosquitoes… Cover from head to toes? Before the dusk hours
Close the windows and doors?

Bites throughout night When it rains like hell, Nets held tight;
Over beds may serve well

Coils smell awful… Sprays are harmful… Carcinogenic is the repelling mat
Cough and whoop, a day’s brick bat.

Allergic are the creams
Spoiling your sleep and dreams
Vectors of Malaria
Carriers of Dengue and Filaria
Wild inf(j)ections they do give
Well, then what is the way to cope and live?

Safe and sound means of control Seems to be the (micro)bio-control! Enemy’s enemy; friend of mine
A ‘NO’ mosquito land is indeed divine
